Alessia Milano is a board certified Naturopathic Doctor with a primary focus in women’s health, hormone health, and fertility. She is passionate about helping women reclaim their health and become the best versions of themselves at every age. She is an avid women’s health advocate and started the Well Women Program (https://www.dralessiamilano.com/well-women) in response to the health inequities experienced by Canadian women.
During her naturopathic education, she was selected among her classmates to complete additional training in Fertility and Reproductive Health. She is continuously undergoing additional training in women’s health, hormone health, and fertility to ensure her patients are receiving the best care possible. She’s successfully worked with many women struggling with PCOS, hormonal acne, endometriosis, unexplained infertility, menopause, premenstrual syndrome, birth control cessation, vaginal health, adrenal exhaustion and more. Her passion for helping women was born out of her own health experiences. She noticed that women’s health complaints were often normalized in medicine; this really bothered her and inspired her to start working in women’s health care. Through working with women, she came to love and appreciate the complexity of hormones. She believes balancing hormones is a delicate art that requires restoring health to all body systems.Ultimately, her long term goal is to help as many women as possible realize their full health potential.
Alessia obtained her undergraduate degree at Queen’s University where she completed a major in psychology with distinction. She was heavily involved in psychological research at Queen’s and was invited to present her undergraduate thesis to the Society of Personality and Social Psychology. Shortly after, she went on to obtain her Doctor of Naturopathy degree from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. She is additionally certified in Facial Rejuvenation and Cosmetic Acupuncture to help support hormonal skin complaints as well as graceful ageing. She employs targeted, evidence-based natural medicine in her practice while supporting patients mentally and emotionally. She strongly believes that naturopathic and conventional medicine works best together.
Alessia is licensed with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario, and is a member in good standing with the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors, and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors.
